PROGRESS REPORT

Semalam, kerja-kerja memacakkan tiang pagar dah dijalankan dengan bantuan sekumpulan pekerja yang diupah sebanyak RM800. Nampaknya, kerja mereka bagus dan cepat. Setakat hari ini, dah hampir 30 batang tiang didirikan.Terima kasih untuk Pak Lang yang carikan sumber pekerja.

Progress report

Setakat semalam, sebanyak 80 tiang batu untuk pagar fodder dah sampai ke kawasan.Sekarang ni nak cari pekerja upahan sahaja. Pak Lang kata, pekerja Indon sanggup buat dengan upah RM800. So, macam mana?Masa meeting 6 Mei boleh decide sama-sama.

Selain daripada tu, kayu untuk buat kandang kambing juga telah dibeli dari Hardey, Ayer Tawar, dengan harga Rm3100 untuk kandang bersaiz 15'x20'.

Sekarang ni, hanya nak:
1) pacakkan tiang sebelum rumput naik di kawasan tiang tu.
2) beli dawai pagar
3) dirikan kandang kambing-perlu upah orang atau buat sendiri?

rasanya, kiata bukan nak rushing kan?kalau upah orang buat, kena tambah RM3000 sebagai bayarannya.Hmmm??Apa kata BOD?Tapi, tak larat rasanya kalau nak buat sendiri.Sekurang-kurangnya upah orang tolong buat sama2.

Progress update

As per yesterday, all the woods to build the barn has been delivered. Since we bought a second hand wood, so we need to treat any major defects on the wood.

Progress No. 2

Abah tengah supervise lori yang berisi tanah.

Kerja-kerja penambakan tanak telah bermula semalam. Sebanyak 4 lori tanah diperlukan untuk menambak kawasan untuk menjadi tapak pembinaan kandang kambing. Esok dijangkakan traktor akan melakukan kerja meratakan tanah tersebut.

Kos tanah : RM400

Kos traktor :RM300

"Kenapa kena tambak abah"Aku buat-buat bertanya

"Sebab tanah belakang tu, air masin naik kalau air pasang.Kedua, nak bagi elok masa membuat lantai simen bawah kandang kambing,kalau tanah tak rata, pecah pulak simen nanti.takpun, kena pakai simen banyak sebab nak ratakan."Abah menjawab dengan satu lafaz.

"Ooo, mcm tu eh.Ok betul tu abah" Jawab aku menyokongnya.

Plan seterusnya, tanah akan dibiarkan rata selama 2 minggu. Kemudian, kerja-kerja pembinaan akan bermula.

Jumlah kos untuk membeli kayu 2nd hand dah dikira dengan terperinci setiap kayu.Cadangnya, minggu depan nak beli dah.

Project Progress no. 1

There is not much progress achieved so far since i was very busy with my work. So i need to rely on my father in law to arrange all the front end activities i.e. barn layout, barn foundation etc.

Our progress meeting always take place during the dinner.

Last night discussion was:
1. Barn layout 80% completed. 30' x 15' barn cost us around 5k.
2. Foundation - require 4 - 5 lorries of soil. cost us around 1k.
3. Fence - cost us around rm600.


We plan to complete all the barn work by end of April, Insya-Allah.

But the problem now is i'm difficult to find the good supplier for the goat. Where can i get the cheapest goat, huh??

We plan to have around 10 - 20 goats for the starting.

My father in law designs the barn himself-he`s very good at it.He was the one who design the present house-vey unique.

The initiatives

These are the redundancy of lush green backyard at the back of Abah`s house. Only one with agricultural interests sees the remarkable output of it.
These are the napier grass that Ancho had plant 3 years ago.Look, how they grew. No goats will say No to them.

On March, 2007 my uncle Hj Nordin Bokhari initiated to start a goat farm at Abah`s 31/4 backyard. Upon having a brief discussion, we agree with his brilliant idea. He said it would be a family farm bussiness. He appointed me to run the admistrative aspects of the farm. So, what a heck?I thought it will be a great experience though. My qualification as a goat rearer was about 20 years ago, when my dad rear about 10 goats. And, my brothers and I were those who responsible to take care of the goats.
Since Ancho had underwent a short course on goat`s breed last 3 years, we are now ready to implement the knowledge and challenge our skills.
